Cafe la Cave is a great place for dates...a little expensive but I love the atmosphere.
Also like the argyle...best calamari in the city...or at least so far as the places that I have had it at.
Ryan Duffy's is awesome but again...kind of expensive.
If you're looking for pub style food, the Oasis is wicked, as well as maxwell's plum...and I can't remember the name of a place down by the Metro Centre a few blocks away from maxwell's.

Where does everyone like to grab a bite in this city? For those on a slightly lighter budget like myself... I like the Shoeshop, a new chinese place....North China Restaurantat 1252 Hollis St has great food, best calamari I've had is at Captain John's Seafood Company in the Harbourside Market in Historic Properties. ;D

Well, it's a bit on the expensive side.. but my kids seem to love the Steak n Stein here in Dartmouth. Only places I've eaten on the Halifax side were Cheers (If I'm remembering th bar right), and that greek pita place on Barrington I mentioned back in my post about Donairs. Otherwise, my dine out experience usually consists of Harveys.
