Hello in Halifax. My partner (eight years) and I are exploring Halifax as a place to live and work. We currently live in the Montreal area. I am originally from the U.S., my partner is from Montreal; we met in P-Town, Cape Cod, MA. We lived together in the US for several years always knowing we would end up in Canada, given the greater acknowledgement of our relationship. We plan on making a trip out your way but would like to make as many contacts in the areas as possible before we do this. We would love to talk with you - electronically or otherwise.

Ok, I'm going to bite the bullet... Why move to Halifax? Not that Ithink that there's something wrong with the Maritimes, but you're probably going to find the region will take a lot of getting used to if you've lived for any significant time in a big city like Montreal. Even having lived in Winnipeg, which is only about twice the size of our fair harbour town took some getting used to.... Some things to remember here: 1) Mass transit Sucks 2) Shopping isn't what you might be used to. (no sunday shopping, etc) 3) Fair to high cost of living (nearly $7 for 4l of milk!) Things that brought me back to the maritimes and the things that make this city shine! 1) There's growth here! 2) The ocean (can I say no more? ) 3) Friendly Happy People Umm.. I think I got off topic somewhere.. Well, as I work midnights now, online is probably the easiest way to reach me, when you decide to migrate East, drop a line... When the rest of the gang reads this, we may be able to plan a coffee meeting or something. Dranem
